Quick view of AWS services
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform that offers a wide range of services for computing, storage, networking, analytics, machine learning, security, and more. Some of the most popular AWS services include:
- Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2): This service provides scalable computing capacity in the cloud, allowing users to launch and manage virtual servers (called “instances”) on demand.
- Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3): This service provides scalable object storage in the cloud, allowing users to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere on the internet.
- Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS): This service provides a fully managed message queue that enables decoupled of microservices, distributed systems, and serverless applications.
- Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS): This service makes it easy to send push notifications to mobile devices, emails, and other distributed systems, as well as set up SMS and voice messaging.
- Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS): This service is a highly scalable, fast container management service that makes it easy to run, stop, and manage Docker containers on a cluster.
- Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS): This service makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. It supports popular database engines such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Amazon Aurora: This service is a fully managed, high-performance, and highly available relational database engine that is compatible with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Amazon Redshift: This service is a fully managed data warehouse that makes it easy to analyze large amounts of data using SQL and your existing business intelligence tools.
- Amazon Cognito: This service is a user identity and data synchronization service that makes it easy to add user sign-up, sign-in, and access control to your web and mobile applications.
- Amazon Elasticsearch Service: This service is a fully managed, scalable, and secure Elasticsearch service that makes it easy to deploy, operate, and scale Elasticsearch in the cloud.
- Amazon CloudFront: This service is a content delivery network (CDN) that speeds up the delivery of static and dynamic web content, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images.
- Amazon Route 53: This service is a scalable and highly available Domain Name System (DNS) web service that routes traffic to Internet applications.
- Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR): This service is a fully managed Docker container registry that makes it easy to store, manage, and deploy Docker container images.
- Amazon Elastic Transcoder: This service is a fully managed, scalable, and cost-effective video transcoding service that lets you convert video files from one format to another.
- Amazon AppStream 2.0: This service is a fully managed, secure application streaming service that lets you stream desktop applications from the cloud to any device.
- Amazon CloudWatch: This service is a monitoring service for AWS resources and the applications you run on the cloud. It provides data and operational insights to help you improve the availability and performance of your applications.
- Amazon Inspector: This service is an automated security assessment service that helps you improve the security and compliance of your applications.
- Amazon Macie: This service uses machine learning to automatically discover, classify, and protect sensitive data in the cloud.
- Amazon GuardDuty: This service is a threat detection service that uses machine learning and other security analytics technologies to identify and prioritize security threats.
- Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC): This service lets you create a virtual network in the cloud, giving you complete control over your virtual networking environment.
